What shipping options can we offer you?
Before your move to Canada, our move consultant will discuss whether you need a 20ft or 40ft container. Depending on the volume of goods you are moving you may be offered a door to door service for a full container load (FCL) or less container load (LCL). A full container load means that you have exclusive use and your goods will be loaded and will have direct shipment on the next available sailing slot. For moves to Montreal or Toronto, transit times are usually within 15-20 days. For Vancouver it can take up to 30 days and for other destinations times can vary. Speak with your move consultant who can give you a better insight into delivery schedules.
If your goods are not the contents of a full house and you are slightly more flexible with the delivery dates a LCL option would be more suitable. This means that your goods are part of a shared consignment, you only pay for the space you use within the container and it is more cost-effective. Transit times are slightly longer with groupage consignments as there is a period of consolidation prior to the goods being shipped.
You can also explore the option of forwarding your goods by air freight if you have only a few items to transport. Our air freight services are designed to give you a swift solution to moving your effects to Canada. If you would like a quote please click here.
Once your goods arrive in Canada they will need to undergo customs clearance before they are delivered to your new home. Please be aware that clearance can take up to 5-10 days and you must be present for it to clear customs.
